“This school places the interests of pupils at the heart of all it does and has high expectations of how well pupils behave.” (OFSTED 2013)

The school meals are cooked each day by our qualified kitchen staff. Pupils are encouraged to choose from a balanced menu. The Food Standards Agency has awarded the kitchen a rating of 5 (www.food.gov.uk/ratings).

We have developed a range of play environments around the school, each offering your child a unique learning experience as part of their everyday play. Our outdoor areas include an established garden, pond and forest area. These encourage children to explore nature while developing the confidence to climb, balance and build dens and are led by our qualified outdoor leaders.

Our kitchen garden area is an integral part of classroom learning. This area is maintained by the Garden Club, guided constantly by our local Allotment Association. The purchase of a new greenhouse enables us to develop projects supporting key enterprise skills.

Our shed has a huge variety of toys which support team games and imaginative play during lunch and morning playtimes. The playground is very well supervised and led by our Play Coordinators and Year 6 Playground Monitors.

Lunchtime Club runs daily and led by two qualified Nursery Nurses. This quality provision ensures that all children have the opportunity to develop key team skills and a bank of ideas and games which can be transferred later to successful independent play experiences.
