BIG School Walk
On Wednesday 22nd November, over 400 pupils at East-the-Water Community Primary School participated in a BIG School Walk. The children and staff members from the school walked the 0.6 mile route around their local area, cheered on by their family and friends. It is hoped that the event will highlight the importance of a healthy lifestyle to the children and boost the school’s “Walking Wednesdays” campaign. The school would like to extend a special thank you to Debbie Grundy and Phil Langdon, who organised a donation of over 400 pieces of fruit and bottles water from Tesco East-the-Water. We are so pleased to have such close links with the supermarket, who also support our walking to school campaign. A final thank you goes to all the friends and family, who came out to cheer on the children of our school. You made them feel really special and they are all very proud of their achievement.
