Brainiacs Maths Group
The year 5 and 6 most able mathematicians are taught daily in a special group to extend and challenge through a wide range of problems and investigations.
Pupils are supported to improve both their cycling and highway confidence and skills. Bike Ability is provided to all pupils from the Reception year onwards. Specialist clubs are available during lunchtime and afterschool for most able cyclist at competition level in KS2. There are also intermediate improvement clubs for pupils aged 7 onwards.
Our most able gymnasts attend an additional after school club where they learn advanced techniques and skills and have the opportunity to compete and perform in front of the wider community.
We provide opportunities for children to play a range of wind instruments through clubs and 1:1 tuition playing clarinet, saxophone, ukulele, recorder and flute led by our local peripatetic music teacher.
Here at East-the-Water Primary school, we provide opportunities for the most able scientists to further develop their understanding through an after school STEM club.
